Our directory of holiday homes and vacation rentals was conceived to fill what we perceived to be a gap in the market, that is an easy to use, well designed holiday homes directory that provides both holidaymakers and holiday homeowners with a place to find all the information they need for selling, renting and managing holiday homes around the world. There are too many holiday rental sites that compromise functionality and usability for flashy design and an array of pop-up and banner adverts. We have tried to design a fast, clean and friendly site, balancing the need to advertise against those of our users. By bringing together all the players in the property market into an internet portal or online directory, we hope to make life a little bit easier for people offering and searching for self-catering holiday rentals. Initially launched in May 2004, it has taken several years and a lot of helpful feedback from users to get the site to a position where we feel it has the potential to achieve its goals. Re-launched in June 2006, we hope the new Villa Leisure site will be both easier and more enjoyable to use.
